I'm currently wearing a hot water bottle stuffed up my 2 tops, which are tucked into my leggings to keep it in there.

I wore 8 layers to go riding in Wales in October. People laughed. Then they got cold. And then they weren't laughing any more.

Wow, my first pace session, didn't know what to expect but it went really well. 2k warmup. 6 x 1k sprints (that's what it felt like for me!) with1 min recovery in between, between 4.05 and 4.30 per k. Then 2k cool down with stretches. It was like an outer body experience, I was running but I didn't know it was me. So weird and still confused by it.

Back from spinning class. Good'n'sweaty.

Where's the link to Bint's second video? Is it the same as the link to her first video?

FP, I've had that experience occasionally, though not for a very long time now. It happened when I'd been running for between 45 mins and an hour, and lasted maybe 5 or 10 minutes. I assumed it was Runner's High.

Bint, I do heart you :)

Overdid it today. 6.6 this morning (to and from Sally Army HQ with my friend) then had to make Mr Carp go for a run. As he was home in time, we went to the club session.

Another 5.5 miles which was a struggle, my breathing went funny in the last mile or so and on the way home my peripheral circulation started to shut down. Hands and feet and lips went tingly and odd and I felt so dizzy and sick I was in tears.

Home, blankets, tea, fish pie, rice pudding and I'm in bed with strict instructions from Mr Carp not to attempt running tomorrow at all. Since I'm still breathing too fast, he's probably right.

Odd though, as I was fine on Sunday and did more mileage on much tougher terrain.

Sending hugs to LD and Bint.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
