Another awful stiff legged run with a lot of walking - 14 min mile - it was mostly pitch black and I was carrying my coat in a big Rucksack. Very cheered to learn I have another Bint video to watch and Carp got into her horrific sounding race :)

Work cr@pped all over my run home so I'm now having to really juggle to get this week's runs in and am looking at some early mornings I reckon.

I wash my trail shoes and then stuff them with newspaper and leave them to dry by the radiator.

Just booked a session with the lovely Vishal. It's been a while and I'm hoping he can sort my troublesome hamstring/butt/back issues.

Ouch. Run commuting is the only way I manage to squeeze 'em in at all these days. Which is depressing when you look at my utterly pitiful mileage.

Walking home today, though.

You're not wrong, Badger. Run commuting is the only way I'm going to be able to do the miles and the sessions I want to and it bugs the bejesus out of me when work gets in the way.

*shakes tiny fist at work*

Evening all :-) (said in best Jack Warner voice. For those of you not too young to remember that!)

Nice work Carp :-)

Trying to get into a routine and Tuesday is a running day so I ran. It's also a Pilates day so that's happening later. I had a couple of years where work got in the way and have concluded that they get better value out of me when I can fit running in, so I do. But I'm lucky in that I don't have to be in a fixed place for fixed hours every day.

Need to strengthen my moon -- any favourite glute exercises out there? I do bridges and clams and try to do squats but don't get very far.

Squats, and lunges are good too. I go to classes for that sort of punishment though, no way would they occur at home :)

(And I shouldn't let Bint's second video unremarked - brilliant! I wish I had the nerve and the coordination.)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
