The run was quite lovely till I had a disagreement with a tree root. The tree root won.

Classic face-plant. Injuries to pride and wallet (new asics pants torn :( ) and minor scrape and bruising to knee. Last thing I needed for my confidence so I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself but off for a bath to soak away my woes.

Bad luck ITG :-(
Glad you're feeling a bit better now Corrah, that's a horrid feeling at the end of a race. Make sure you re-fuel well.

Bloody Hell ITG, it's not your time on the training front at the moment I fear, I hope it improves soon. :( You never know, perhaps your crash has jolted your back into place. *keeps fingers crossed for you*

Well done Corrah, shame you didn't drink enough, recover well.

I have a little bottle of prosecco. Am definitely hydrated ok now but my face us still radiating despite factor 50 sun block so am assuming that would not have helped today either.

ITG you are not having much luck. Hope you are ok xx

Ouch ITG
*Shakes more fists at poorly knees and ankles*
Calves still sore all the time until I've run for three miles. Did some stretching to wii fit which kindly told me I was obese. Bastard thing still I think my calves are slightly better even if morale is not

Back yesterday AR :-) I did a lot of work, something about having childcare on tap and no opportunity to engage in housework as a form of prevarication. But we had fun too, I loved watching beauty and beast under the stars at corfe castle

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
