It's interesting looking back at previous years and comparing months and years. One of the most useful parts of fetch I think

Yes I think so too.

It's Wednesdays when it's been too wet, btw ;-). I have given myself a kick up the moon and decided that in February, I must log at least one form of activity every day. This will include doing the ghastly hip opening/hamstring lengthening stretches we had to do in class this morning. Fifteen minutes of doing those will feel like a proper workout!

Yes FML, the 's' bit *wags finger*
Another hideous treadmill run for me tomorrow on the treadmill that I can't tell how far I've gone on it.

LD, don't forget l you've done masses of things other than running.

Good luck to the parkrunners, LSRers and any racers tomorrow run

do you know anyone with one of those Garmin footpod thingies you could borrow Carp? or put a phone with a pedometer app in your pocket and at least get a rough idea?

We'll be checking your log FML ;)

Fab run JD - especially in this weather!

I hate this wind, v worried about my long run tomorrow if it doesn't calm down

Treadmills aren't very accurate, Carp. I'd go on time and guesstimate distance from that. I did that most of last year when I didn't have a Garmin.

I'm going by time and effort, and erring on the shorter side.

Evening gonkzillas.

Well done JD, that is an epic run. :-)

A deliberately slow 5k or so tonight, it was very windy. Went on the punchbag afterwards.

Was really looking forward to parkrun tomorrow but we've once again not got enough volunteers so I've offered to help again. Haven't said anything but I'm annoyed. I'll have to get up earlier so I can run before parkrun. Bah. I really enjoy helping, just wish more people would help - just once or twice a year would make such a difference.

Som on the (now fortunately rare) occasion we are short of volunteers we ask people turning up on the morning. Someone (usually the partner of a runner, or an injured runner) always steps forward. It'd help to remind people that parkrun won't happen without volunteers, too. Don't be too quick to give up your run or they'll never learn!

Som that's such a shame if it's a regular occurrence :-(

Did you take it out on the punchbag?

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
