Parkrun done, think it was my 105th which is slacking a bit as my 100th was in June or July.
Now for housework while Mr Carp goes out delivering parcels (and probably sneaking in the odd mince pie too!)

Sombrero-ho-ho-ho
Morning. I did parkrun in a Pompey Christmas t-shirt and santa hat (plus shorts, shoes etc - too cold for just a t-shirt and hat).....was ace.
Got a few hours with dudette and then off to finish Christmas shopping - one thing to get. Was planning on meeting Polish friend for a drink but she's doing translating stuff instead (self-employed so can't turn the work down)....works out well actually as I want a chilled day. Off to see the cats that I'm cat-sitting for once dudette has dried her hair.
Love you all, merry Christmas. Nearly.

Afternoon gunks! Funkyplates: you are MY kinda newbie! You'll love HDS Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is the theme apparently
Carp: you're welcome to stay at mine overnight if you want to do HDS, but I insist on you not swimming the Bog of Doom because you went a really dreadful colour last year and I don't know how to treat hypothermia. You can hold FM's hand while we go swimming 4 miles, so hilly here!

Hello! Some top park- and other running I see
Bit odd - my tummy settled as I did parkrun, and looking at my heart rate it was far too high to begin with, then settled to more normal levels. Anyway, that's my excuse for another slow run .
The club run on the hill was very hard work, 6 undulating miles in a very stiff wind. At one point the side of my face on the windward side felt completely numb :-0. It was a good turn out though, and it was lovely to see so many clubmates in the bar afterwards.
Before we set off one of the chaps was offering tots of toffee vodka. That made the first mile a lot easier

Maybe the toffee vodka is what settled your stomach?
Worth remembering. Maybe you could get it on prescription.
