Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Another of those character-building runs: very wet, very windy. Had to take off my cap and carry it for a while, otherwise it would have blown off. Got home soaked.

It's definitely not cap weather Columba! Means you can't see a thing through your glasses though.

Yes OhMy, I agree- one downfall of wearing glasses - after a lap or two in this weather I am pretty blind. I ran past my friend the other day and wasn't sure it was them.

Went to circuits, used my trainers without the orthotics and feet feel good, may try a run without them on Thursday...although defeating the purpose... the feet have felt worse since I got them.

I think I got away with good weather - it was warm and breezy but definitely not as windy as I thought it would be. Met a couple of mates, did 4 miles on the trails and then two of us carried on round a lake until we'd done 6. 97.5 for the month....if I do the runs I have planned for the rest of the week, this will be my highest mileage month ever, beating 120 which I did last January.

Got home late from lunch out with friends, went straight out to find club doing hill reps. Joined in on their last two and did two more, so 3 miles and four hill reps, not bad after Italian food and wine :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
