I can give you a good slap at the weekend Star if that's what you need? :)
But it seems kind of obvious that if you've spent months slogging through training for a race and having it take over your life that you might get a bit disenchanted with running.
That's why I'm calling Beachy a running picnic not a marathon, I like running too much to make myself sick of it :)

You came here to be advised not to do a race? Don't you mean you came here to be told to do it? :)

Evening all. Typical. Not been able to race for months. Have 10k on Sunday and now I decide it's a good time to develop an annoying tickly cough and cold. Mixture & cold remedy bought to keep it to a minimum!

Alex - I was the same after VLM. Was expecting to be walking down stairs backwards and all that but apart from a big blister, I was fine!

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
