I suspect it might feel like that at some hotels in Sidmouth, AR :-). Still, good on 'em for getting out and about! :-)

I am most chuffed. A friend in another team at work wandered round this morning and casually asked what running trails I used, so I pointed her at the river and said that-a-way to Sonning bridge about 5k, and that-a-way Caversham bridge about 5M round trips. She looked a bit lost and said it would be her first run ever, so I IM'd her couch to 5k. And then I thought, well I have my kit in my bag to run after work, why don't I show her the way?

So we have just done 3 mins run, 1 min walk for 40 minutes and done just over 2.5 miles. It wasn't hard for me (other than keeping up in the first 2 minutes when she went off like Bolt) but so so satisfying to see someone else giving it a go.

Our other colleague of course jogged on the spot and didn't even breathe hard the whole way so I suggested he run at his pace to the next little bridge...

She's sent me a recurring meeting for lunchtime jogging :)

yay for new running buddies JC

sorry I've not been about. I am seriously in a rut. hoping seeing the 700 gang at the weekend and having to do a race will give me a wee boost. I cant actually put my finger on what the hell is up with me!

happy running everyone :-)

I think it's really common after training and completing a big target race Star. Enjoy the weekend :-)

Star he is right!

JC excellent work. :-)

Just about to head into nightschool. Am going to try to avoid the admin staff as last week they told me it wasn't on.

More good news. Work are paying for me to a qualification. A pensions one. :-)

Star - I think they're right. I'm the same.

I also keep finding excuses and imagining that every niggle will turn into something major and I need to rest !

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
