Morning! Hope Paula has been patched and antisepticked by now :-(.
My hips are very sore - not really DOMSy, but a return of the really painful spell my left hip in particular went through at mile 11 yesterday. Hopefully my 'Functional Movement' class later will help sort it out.

Ouch for Paula, LD and LG. Hope you are all on the mend really soon.
One more mile and I'm over 100 for the month - first time I've done that since Dec 2013!

Linds I always think that when mine are ok after a race! Left glute and hamstring very tight again after yesterday's fast 5k - hoping heat and stretching will ease it today as there is the club track mile tomorrow night.

*takes the compeeds from first aid kit* I did my glutes and quads with Mr Spikey ball last night and it made a difference, today they aren't screaming at me.

Held my thumb tightly (still wrapped in the buff) all the way to work (25 mins on the train and 5 mins jogging at the other end). Got to my desk, found the First Aid kit, unwrapped my thumb, blood ran down to my wrist
Cleaned it up, bandaged it in a finger dressing, covered it in tape, went down to have a shower (where I discovered that I didn't pack a bra today, so now have slightly damp and deodorant sprayed sports bra under my shirt). After shower (managed to keep it more or less out of water) had breakfast. Back at desk, unwrapped it again, pad was pretty much sodden, put on second finger dressing. Now it seems to be under control, still throbbing quite a lot though. I don't think it will need gluing or stitching, but it was a close thing.
Dug glass out of shoe with scissors (carefully!!). It was about half an inch long and a quarter of an inch wide, and it was really really stuck fast. I knew if I didn't get it out I'd only end up rummaging around in my bag today and cutting myself on it again.
And so the week starts.
