Are you sure you don't need medical attention, Paula?

No I'm pretty sure it will be OK now, thanks Linds.

I'll check it at lunchtime and if necessary I can go and see the company nurse to get it dressed, but I really think it will be OK.

Ouch Paula. *sends healing vibes to thumb and general DOMS*

Dentist this morning for MOT. All ok other than being told that a tooth is decaying from the inside out(!) probably due to some knock years ago. Will require drilling, root canal and filling. That'll be cheap, not. But apparently caught early it will be a whole lot easier and less painful than later on. She showed me the x-ray of someone whose tooth has all but gone and explained the difficulty of then extracting what's left of the tooth etc.!!

CStar - that's my issue the tooth is dead, half of it has come out and it has snapped below the gum line. Off to have it removed in just under an hour

CStar that us what happened to my tooth, no reason, but dissolving from inside and was far gone so I had to have it out. Root canal is a better option but yes expensive and so annoying too.

My hips have eased and now I just have DOMS in my quads. 3 of the 4 of us who do the Functional Movement class, plus our instructor, did the Half yesterday so he went relatively easy on us. Even so I kept making old-lady 'oooh' noises when we had to get into a stretch pose :-)

It's a shame you can't buy the sort of glue they use instead of stitches, over the counter (at least I assume you can't.) A teeny tiny tube in a first aid kit could be useful. Hope your thumb heals well, Paula.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
