Ah, coincidentally Nico, I also bought 4 tins of Old Peculiar this afternoon. Not a beer I've seen up here before. Used to be a favourite pint when we drank in the New Inn at Waterley Bottom, some 30-odd years ago now.

And add to that a bottle of Broughton's Hopo Session IPA (3.8). Very lovely. Hoppy but not too bitter. Fruity, slightly citrussy. Very drinkable (so I did! :) ).

14 on my bottles/cans list Bishops Finger 5.4% Shepherd Neame was settling in for an evening of waiting for the power to come back on in the flickering candlelight and wearing all my coats indoors when the power did come back on so I'm having a much needed cup of tea before I go back to the beer (and I think that is almost certainly a first for me to prioritise tea over beer)

39: The Brew Society "Martha sexy blonde", 8% Blonde, sweet with a bitter after taste, quite nice.

40: Biere des Amis, 5.8% blond, a classic Belgian blond, not overly hopped, nice and easy drinking... Good thing as it was a 66cl bottle.

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
