Jono, can confirm that Norway is indeed lovely. Marathon last night was hard going - I knew it would be as I’ve been managing various niggles, so only managed one 20 mile run 7 weeks ago (physio advises that running was okay, but running long distances would probably exacerbate the problem). As we’d been planning to do this for two years - and I didn’t want to drop down to the half as I’d planned for this to be my last marathon - I decided I’d just have to tough it out on the day. Think the 8:30pm start probably had more of an effect than I’d thought, but the thing that made it hard was the weather - apparently 8 degrees but feeling more like 5 or 6, and raining throughout, at lots of times quite heavily. Slowed down more, and earlier, than I’d anticipated, but glad to have experienced it and got through to finish.

I parkrun volunteered this week - we have a new parkrun locally so I've run1 marshalled 1. don't think I'll get involved every week but nice to be part of it, will have a fairly east week as doing marathon (snickerthon) next weekend which mara are you doing westmoors?
