Wise and running decisions rarely go together. Snowdonia will be there next year. It is, in my opinion, the best 26.2 'road' marathon in the UK.

Very wet here this morning, but the weathermen say it will blow over by lunchtime, so I am delaying my long run until the afternoon. Feels very strange to be sat at home on a Sunday morning!

5 miles and drenched. I "had" to run today as I won't have a chance tomorrow.

Jono.
Morning, jogged 7 miles this morning - breezy, rain - but mild.

I was going to hoover the car, can't be arsed now - I'll do it tomorrow.

Long run done. Leg 4 of the Round Rotherham Relay there and back. My mate has this leg in the race in a few weeks, we've done it a few times there and back but always go the same wrong way at Lindrick golf course on the way home!! Had a nice stop on the way back for a Fab ice lolly at Turnerwood on the Chesterfield canal, lovely :-)

I'm with you on that one Westmoors. I was supposed to be running the Draycote Water 20 this morning, but it looked far too wet and cold for 4½ laps round a reservoir, even if there was going to be a bit of a Fetchie meet up.

I went out at lunchtime for my long run instead. Nice and sunny for the last hour :-)

2nd mara of the weekend at Milton Keynes, done mostly in pouring rain, though it stopped in the last couple of laps so I finished in sunshine. Faster than yesterday's so another SB (5:29 compared to 5:41) and I felt quite fine all the way round. Not very speedy by most standards, I know, but I'm very pleased I seem to have relocated my lost stamina and endurance, so I hope to chip away at that time and see if I can get it a bit closer to something starting with 4:xx:xx.

And it was my 50th marathon.
