I'd say do it, bonners, but I am a nutter when it comes to marathons, so perhaps not the best source of sensible advice.

Cheers jabberknit, it would be my last ever marathon if I did it. I guess my concern is that Chester I'm doing for a time, but if I did snowdonia it would be to get round and experience it if that makes sense, as long as I ran, that would be my only goal.

Out of interest why Gobi. I have to be honest, the only thing holding me back is the risk of injury doing it 3 weeks after Chester.

Well I've just run out a whole list of pros and cons Doc and I think I'm definitely straying towards the not unfortunately, much as I'd like to give it a go.

bonners, if your profile is correct, and Chester will be your 2nd marathon (?) I wholeheartedly agree with Gobi. If you have loads of marathons under your belt, a three week period is very much achievable, but the body (and mind) can take years to get to that level of resilience.

Very early 17 miles done, home and showered by 8am! The rain was forecast to start at 8am, but it arrived early at 6:30 so I was glad I'd taken a lightweight raincoat with me just in case :-).
My furthest run since 25th February :-).
I'll be staying indoors for the rest of the day, making the most of the wet weather to get some inside work done.

Cheers all, just to update this, my logical head has won the argument overnight, I've declined the offer and hopefully someone else will pick it up. Yes, my profile is correct Fenners, and your argument is roughly where my head was at, it is the worry of injury. If someone said to me you can get round in five hours guaranteed with no injuries I would do it, I just think the risk is too much for me. Not disappointed, as really looking forward to Chester, it just would've been a nice thing to do.
