Well done, Doc, hope the cold is clearing up now.

I have also bought new shoes, Pikelet. I bought 2 pairs (both for MeMeMeMeeeee!), and got a free pair of socks.

One pair are mine, one the hubsters and the other pair for my mate Chez. Good job they're both a different size to me otherwise I may have kept them all!!

I do like to have at least one fresh pair still in the box under the bed for emergencies :-)

Jono.
morning - jogged 6 miles, light breeze, mild.

Just read 10 blogs, thoroughly enjoyable (well except one - but that's life isn't it?)

I need some new running shoes - have 2 days off next week - things to do, look for Mrs J's birthday present - lunch with Molly J after a uni session? & I may go see an exhibition featuring John & Yoko (on my own :-0)

Are you excited about your new shoes by any chance Pikelet?

This morning I ran, it rained, i got wet, it rained some more, I tried to run faster, I got very wet but enjoyed it - rain keeps you cool. Rest day tomorrow - we are taking the boy to university - first time - then back to an empty house.

Hello! I ran a marathon today and got an SB - I am somewhat thrilled! I also got very wet, as it started raining a few miles in and just didn't stop.

Hope the various offspring are delivered safely to their unis. Our DD1 and her OH have gone back to that there London now. It was lovely to see them, but it's never long enough.

I don't know which I should congratulate, Pikelet and her shoes or jabberknit and her marathon???

Anyway congratulations on the sb and I think we all get the excitement of new trainers day😁👍

Last longish run tomorrow. At the moment I'm more concerned with a decision to be made by Monday. It involves Snowdonia and the chance to run another 26 miles 3 weeks after Chester marathon.

Bearing in mind I'm in no way a marathon runner, am I stupid to consider two in 3 weeks? Also I know the hills around snowdonia, so I'm under no illusions about how tough it will be. Gaaah, conflicted!!!
