Hey all,
Very cold here in London, but fortunately managed to get a parkrun in at Hackney Marshes (there were a few little patches of frost on the course, but nothing too bad). Looking on FB and posts from friends the majority of South Wales parkruns seem to have been cancelled today, think only about 4 or 5 survived!

Nippy out there for my small run. Longer run for tomorrow...the distance will depend on what it's doing outside. Next year, I'm going to go for a 4 mile run every day...aside from the days that I have some race on...so far, one 10k in July and eventually will add a 10 miler in October (Cabbage patch).

Might need your snowshoes tomorrow, Jono.
An ambitious plan for next year, Garfield.

no running today, bought a new tree - with roots - hope to keep it for next year too...it is not up yet, just acclimatising half way between inside & outside. Plan on a cold hopefully snowy long run early tomorrow to boost my mileage... good luck with your daily 4M Garfield.

Our tree has roots too Richard-M1, it is in the unheated conservatory so will hopefully survive and be planted in the garden after.

Omg 😮😱😱😱😱😱😱 Lanzarote Marathon completed in sub 6 hrs in the searing heat 😱😱😱😱😱 brutal and awful, I didn’t feel right from 21km halfway mark, struggled to cope with the sun ☀️ which got very hot from 9am onwards, disoriented and almost collapsing at the finish 😖😖😖😫😫😫 it wasn’t pretty at all but thanks to fellow runner Emmett who I ran with all the way and push me to get that tough sub 6 hrs

We always used to have a real tree, but our son-in-law is allergic to them! If he gets too near one, he develops a rash. So now, it's a fake one that lives in the loft. Will have to get it down soon, and try to remember how it all fits together.
We always intended to try and keep the real trees alive for the following year, but our lack of any actual gardening skills meant they never survived.
