Don’t forget to thank your family and anyone that knows me Neilio. I think I like swing. We had a delightful day yesterday. |

I did that WW, The band was very loud last night, not the same as Doc’s band, and I’m blaming that for my headache:) |

Fenland (Fenners) Runner
Morning, start of base building season for me, so an 'easy' 6+ miler at low heart rate. Toks, I've start and finished the Snowdonia marathon six times and I only got it right twice. It is a course that punishes any imperfections in any part of preparation and/or racing. |

well done Toks on finishing. set off this morning, fuelled on last nights pasta, garlic bread and Mrs J's swiss Chocs which were a gift from her work colleagues for her recent big birthday + flowers + more chocolates (someone had to eat them), not pace watching, just jogged along and got 15 miles in - thoroughly enjoyed it. HOWEVER after blogging yesterday that I'd like to run a marathon next year, I don't think I will. I don't think the wonky left foot will take to marathon training or to running 26.2 miles - I could feel it starting to ache this morning - now I'm sitting drinking tea, it's fine. And I really don't want to knacker my wonky left foot up all together as I want to carry on running, as I believe its fundamental good for me. please no weeping |

Jono, this will get total vihilification but to be a runner you don't have to run marathons

Toks there are marathons and then there are marathons - coupled with not feeling well. One year at Windmere I was in a right state - 5hrs 24 minutes - I walked most of it. The visit to a portaloo wasn't pleasant. Fenners - stop using words I don't understand. |

Well done Toks - never done Snowdonia but it does sound very challenging, well done to you for toughing it out. Sensible decision Jono - Fenners is absolutely right, and being able to carry on running long term is more important than running marathons here. Had fun at the Fetch mile yesterday, got to run on an indoor track for the first time, meet some lovely fetchies including Team Jigs, and eat cake Had a nice 8 mile run with Mr J this morning, lovely sunny autumn morning here |
