Holidays are a chance for extra running aren't they?
I aim for 28 miles a week most weeks, but usually manage a little more so that I have some slack in case of illness or injury.

Small run today to relax the legs. More running tomorrow lunchtime as I'm working locally.

khanivore - there is a weekly target distance, but I always found that it depends what you may be training for - for instance if you're training for a marathon you may up your mileage for a couple of months and then ease off after a race.
I always found that 1500 miles is a good target for training and you can have a couple of weeks off during the year - if you want

funny really, I target 100 miles a month and yet end up around 1700. I never really consider the miles each week but run for around 4 hours.
It just takes care of itself

Despite the huge challenge, I'm back again for the 1500 mile thread. It's a real toughie finding the time to keep up with the thread, but it's always worth it afterwards, eh? Even on the days when there are a hundred new posts, it's always worth lacing up the running shoes and reading through each page.
Oh, and 1500 miles, as Gobi says, should just take care of itself.

And just to keep Mrs Jigs busy, my "A" races for the ever-expanding target races list over there to the right are below, if you fancy adding them. Thanks.
April - Highland Fling (are you doing this again Fenners?) May - Stirling Marathon (my first marathon - yes! really!) July - Lakeland 50 (anyone else doing this? It's not like it's a serious race like the Lakelnad 100)
Cheers.

Khanivore, I target 100 miles a month, and 30 miles a week, though usually end up doing a bit more for both. I try not to stress to much about the weekly target though, as I know if it's lower for a week or two I'll make it up over the course of the year.

I try to run 25 - 30 miles a week, with a bit more during marathon training. I also target the 100 miles a month.
Chilly club run last night. Large numbers and I struggled to keep up. One of the fast guys dropped back to run with me (we were also discussing details of the forthcoming Wimborne 20) and directed me to take the shortcut so that we didn't finish too far behind!
