Looks like it's going to be sun and heat to FF. I'm sure your training has equipped you for a six mile dash whatever the weather. Hope you enjoy it, looks a nice route. I recall the same issues hs when my parents died. Far far too many old documents had been kept so I keep mine trimmed down and shredded regularly. Hope the niggle doesn't thwart a good ParkRun tomorrow. Easy three miles sounds perfect LL, hope the posterior ache disappears soon. I enjoyed my non run day yesterday even though it didn't set me up for an improved four miler this morning! It was great to be out and enjoy the best of summer mornings. |

Good luck tonight FF, I think the weather is all out of cooler breezes I’m happy the sun has finally found us but it is a tad warm for a run and I seem to have prayed about that long it’s going to be warm. I shall never complain though! (I did moan last night I always cook 90% of meals I was so looking forward to a meal out, nice bottle of wine in the sun. Had glass of wine in beer garden went to order food just before 7 to be told they had stopped service having ran out of food!!! We had so little on board it was a dash back to town but ended off with a veggie stir fry on board) Right run o’clock |

30 miles on the bike last 2 days so no running until parkrun tomorrow. I’m doing the bike challenge and about 150 miles behind. I’m about 200 ahead on the run/walk one so might push in with the cycling until I catch up. It will be interesting to see how it affects my running. Have a lovely weekend everyone and good luck FF. |

Good luck this evening FF. The temperature here in the New Forest is forecast to reach 28 degrees C. I Hope it is cooler than that for your race! I'm glad Steve that I'm not the only one that spends boring hours sifting through and shredding old documents. Thanks, I'm hoping the knee will be ok. It's never been the same since the menisci tears back in 2017. Glad that you enjoyed yesterdays rest day and feel better for it. What a shame GG that the pub ran out of food before you could order any. 7pm seems very early. Well done Turkhish, getting out for a run before it got too hot. The usual Friday farmers walk this morning, which is becoming a bit of a challenge as I'm trying to increase the weight, and walk the nearly .5 mile home without having to put the bags down on the way. 😁 |

Just seen your post LL. Well done for your 30 miles on the bike, and good luck for tomorrow's parkrun. It will be interesting to see whether the mix of cycling and running, will improve your running pace.

Huge well done 30m is a lot! You’ll soon catch up. Did 3.5 this morning it was warm but so refreshing to have sunshine. I am definitely a sunflower. |

Looby Loo I'm 253 miles behind in the bike challenge but helped by commuting to and from work every day for the last two weeks. I hope to catch up by continuing to cycle to work and save some fuel too. 70 mile commute weeks will hopefully catch me up in 5 or 6 weeks. The race was warm and with a head wind in one place. Considering the lack of fast training and any racing I'm happy with my time. It was a personal worst for the course (3 times now ) but I did enjoy it. I could possibly have given more but it's the unknown when I haven't raced for almost 3 years. |

Identifying what was good is always the best way to reflect on a race FF....as you know. If you enjoyed it then that's the clincher. And with the heat and head wind that must really be a good result. 10k this early morning along roads as well as trails and it heated up nicely though nowhere near afternoon temperatures of this week . I much prefer the blazing sun too gg. |

Well done FF enjoyment should be the key thing or what’s the point. I got a parkrun PB this morning which had been previously set on the same course in Nov 2011 so very pleased. It’s not an actual PB but delighted all the same. |
