Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

:-) :-) :-)
I ran past the local vaccination hub this morning. 10 minutes from home, I'm pleased to say.

Glad mine won't be 25 miles, Evangel.

Haha Peter 😉.

6 miles in the cold tonight, not as cold as this morning. More snow forecast for tonight ☚ī¸.

My nearest vaccination centre is also about 10 mins from the house, it will be a long time before I get mine.

It was decided that GP surgeries would deal with the 70 - 74 yr. olds, so my wife (72) had her Astra-Zeneca locally 1 ml. away. The Health Board deals with 75 - 79s (I'm 75) , but the Health Board for our Practice is situated in Carmarthenshire, although we live in Neath-Port Talbot, near to the county boundary! I had the Pfizer jab at Llanelli, and I didn't know where the vaccination centre was!. Is that confusing? I agree! Anyway I managed to get it done.

Is that somewhere on the Scottish islands, Peter?

It's bone-chillingly dry and cold on the Scottish west coast. I never thought I'd say it but I'm looking forward to the normal wet but mild weather. At least ice can't form on the pavements.

I'm still on catch up after our horrendously

I don't know why that submitted.

I'm still on catch up after our horrendously icy weather in Jan and hoping to get 100 miles this month.

Such beautiful pics Peter. Swimming and running in those temperatures..arghhh...tough fella!
Wrapped up well down here (Cardiff) but the wind has been so cold, saw several people running as usual on the trails this morning and all covered head to toe in muscle warming gear. Thank goodness it looks like it's going to be a heat wave come Monday!
Glad you and your wife have been jabbed Evangel--here in Cardiff it's been an easy jaunt to mass vaccination centres. Fingers crossed for us all though that we don't have to have a jab for covid every year and that the variants don't eventually nullify the efficacy of what we've had.
Hope you can put in the miles you want duo, it's been difficult in the northlands.

Nice pics Peter. You must be really hard core to swim in those conditions!

Glad you and your wife have both had your jabs now Evangel!

Take care Duo in those icy conditions. The pavements here in the South were icy and very slippery on Tuesday, but we still haven't had any snow worth talking about. I hope you manage to achieve your 100 miles this month.

Today is a rest day, but I have done my stretches etc as usual on rest days.

No swimming today. Cold easterly has returned and forecast to get up to 50mph over weekend.
Duo, I'm based in Kirkwall, Orkney.
Just low level 3 miles today feeling bitterly cold again. Snow no longer fresh and not nice to run on.
Loft insulation deficiencies attended to.
