Welcome Sombrero! Long time - no see. I've been on this thread for a few years, but now I'm here illegally, because following an injury about a year ago, my mileage for these 2 years is very low. I just like it here!

Hello Sombrero it's nice to see new faces in here. You've nothing to concern yourself with Evangel there's no way you're an imposter, you and steve45 have just been unlucky and sticking around where you both thrived. I hope you both get back to your old running ways soon. |

Welcome to the thread Sombrero, we are a friendly crew and I hope that you will be a regular poster. I probably won't be able to run today, as I'm waiting in for the wasp exterminator. I had the same problem with wasps in the loft a couple of years or so ago. Very frustrating as wednesdays are an important training day. I might be able to run later, depending on when he comes. |

Welcome Sombrero and to what should be an easy run-in for your 1,000. I languish at 360 miles for the year currently and might scrape 550 for the year. Indeed Evangel, you're no imposter and low miles hopefully are just temporary. There are days though when I think I'll never get back to where I was. And days when I think a miracle might happen π. 7.59 FF! That's terrible!! Good intervals there LL and 4.7 is reasonably rounded! Thirty miles is epic gg , a great adventure on hot days. Look after those old legs (as you called them!)now and recover well. I remember your last wasp problem has, nuisance to get in the way of your run so hope they're gone by the day's end . No run today, just weights but ouch to my injured elbow now. |

Oh no Steve! Supposed to do a little 4 mile easy today. Felt good and ended up a negative split bit quicker than my plan but not often it feels that way. |

fetch says 21m a week should see me over the line! I'm still 30ish below the grey line for now mind given I only did 17m in the whole of March I am pleased with this! |

Welcome Sombrero π. Nobody is an imposter in this thread, you run what you can. Please stick around. Everyone has been doing some great runs, well done. It's been very hot here, too hot in fact. I did some intervals with the club last night, I was glad the clouds had appeared as it cooled everything down. I calculate that I need about 24 miles a week to make it to 1000 miles. Will see how I get on. |

π to Sombrero. Thereβs been some good running going on in here, well done everyone ππ. Went out early and did just over 9 hilly trail miles run/walking before it got too hot. My legs were still tired from the weekend so Iβm pleased they managed to hold out for me π. |

Well done everyone for perseverance, running in these high temperatures π‘. The terminator came this morning and advised that it was hornets and not wasps. He didn't have to go into the loft, but was able to spray through the hole that they were using. He said that if they were still flying around in the morning he would return at no extra cost, as treatment was "guaranteed" |
