Morning all I went for fells and woods and just took it steady, chatted with people and took in how beautiful it all was. Slow yes but up there with what running is about. Paths still very slippy in places which you can see when a dog is literally sliding when being encouraged to hurry up.

Stay safe all.

Sounded like a very enjoyable run this morning GG. Off road running is the way to go 😊

Another bitterly cold day, and the Bartley Park parkrun 1st year anniversary. We denoted food for the Oakhaven Hospice and filled a trolley, (not a supermarket trolley, but much larger). It's tragic that such Institutions are now relying on food banks.

I ran better than last week in 29.33, a WAVA of 66.56%.. One of our club runners took some photos at a parkrun 2 or 3 weeks ago, and I'm attaching a photo of me, if it works 🤞

Well done HS great time and great photo you’re clearly enjoying yourself.

No parkrun for me due to the weather and rail strike.

Excellent running hillstrider as always. I like the photo of you being in front of people much younger than yourself, just shows how well you do with your excellent training.

No parkrun here either LL, I looked outside and just like the rest of the week decided it was too frosty but I am about to get changed and go out shortly.

Thanks LL and FF! I've got to where I am today by persevering with a comprehensive training regime over the years, and regular racing on and off roads, until my mid 70's, when I discovered "my sensible hat😂" Belonging to various running clubs over the years, has also been very important. When I was at my peak in my 40's, it was due to training on the Southampton running track twice a week, with a first class Coach.

Well run park run hs! And your 100th next weekend will be some achievement LL.
Your consistent training has definitely paid off hs and the woodland photo shows a really nice environment to run in.
I haven't run since Tuesday and a big "oops"....I actually still need another 17 miles to do a best annual for five years. Sorry for fibbing! The cold days have just put me off but it looks positively balmy next week so I'll be back out , talk about fair weather running!
Going back a few threads, those poor feet deserve shoes and socks gg!! Dunno how you manage barefoot brutality!
Good luck for your Garmin free handicap tomorrow hs.
