My parkrun tourism is generally when I'm going / at somewhere different.

Thanks LL, sorry that you have been suffering with a bad cold. I hope you feel ok this evening for the track session. Do you know what the session will be? Our Club's, on the grass running track last night was 300 metres reps with 100 metres recoveries.

3M (aka MarkyMarkMark)
LL, give me a shout the week beforehand! There are 3 parkruns around York - my home run is the biggest on the Racecourse (The Knavesmire) to the south-west of the city, but there's one at the University (Heslington, on the East side), and one at New Earswick a few miles out to the north.

I tend to stay local for Parkrun, I have one less than 2 miles from the house. I am on the core team for too and do RD from time to time. I am not bothered about lots of tourism although if I was away I would try and find one. Not fussed about the games either. I go when I can but I only get one run at the weekend and I like a longer one so sometimes I go and most weeks not.

A track session sounds good, we don't have the facilities around here for that. There is a grass one on the other side of town but its always used by the kids athletics club when we have our club sessions.

Hope your not too ill with the cold LL.

Been having some foot issues when running, so might rest for a few days and see. Hurt it a while ago on a trail run, it was fine but seems to niggle now and again. Was sore last week and was ok last night but sore today. I did have 6 days off the other week but didn't do anything. Just not what I need right now.

HS there was a structured club session but you can also do your own thing. My plan was 3 x 1600 with 400 recoveries. I did a short warm up then a mile warm down.

Hope your foot is ok Lesley.
Good camel spotting scottdog 😃

Park runs are great for lots of people. Just not for me. There is one just one mile from my front door too! My cousin has tried to tempt me to participate for years.. she's nearing her 300th..but there's no added benefit in doing it for me. Maybe I'm lucky that my wife runs so we don't have that same urge to use Saturday mornings in the Park running.
My usual intervals this morning. God knows how I've kept them up!😂
