Christmas run done! 5k with torey ( my wife) in the dark and damp! Mild though with Blackbirds, Song Thrushes and Robins singing in the dawn. Didn't see a single person and only three or four cars went by.
Tut to having to isolate LL, good thing you're going to use s treadmill and get that fab total mileage.
You'll be off on your 5k pb attempt soon hs, hope you pace it well. I should put money on it!!
There was a time swittle when I never ran in the mornings and only did evenings! Your routes sound like adventures.
Have a great day all.

Merry Christmas everyone and well done for running, walking or cycling through a second year of Covid devastation 🎅

Well done Steve for your early morning 5k with your wife. My 5k with Karen was on roads, so no birds singing. The roads were very quiet, and we only saw two dog 🐕 walkers. The run went well, and Karen paced me to a respectable 26.45 a WAVA of 72.03%. This didn't beat my 26.09 set in March, but the WAVA was almost identical, due to the rating change on my birthday.

You are amazing HS that's a great 5k. I managed a 5k virtual run in the park today. Hoping to tick over until I can go out again. Hate the treadmill but it comes in handy on occasion.

Lesley C Hope you manage to cover those remaining miles. Never easy in the deep mid-winter. :)

An impressive total and year, Evangel

steve45 Your early a.m. run sounds idyllic! Although the industry of the Mersey is but yards away, with wind farms & gas rigs out in the bay, the beach, trails and maritime region never cease to lift my spirits :)

Well run, Looby Loo - needs must etc. - and you'll soon be able to roam free again. :)

hillstrider That fine effort is your Christmas gift to yourself - well done!

Squalls & chilly E wind tried to spoil my hour of running & roving in Crosby & Waterloo last night. Tide well out, a little ridged sand and, best of all, the rain decided it had business elsewhere :)

Thanks LL and Swittle.

Well done LL running 5k on a treadmill. I can't run on them at all. I have tried.

Well done Swittle for an hours night time running in adverse conditions.

Looby Loo Thank you - very kind. Fetch has provided me with a welcoming platform for more creative writing than I ever did as a teacher.

hillstrider It's traditional for me to run on Christmas Day but conditions were even more unpleasant than last night's. A cold E wind was veering SE, carrying squalls with it. Down the prom to the sea wall and a useful boost on the return along the beach. Cycle path & trails against the wind, finishing in Beach Lawn Gardens. 35 min.
