I don't know how people are coping with no heating, water, communication etc Lesley. The elderly especially must be finding it really tough.

Today is a rest day for me today.

A nice bright morning, but it rained heavily in the night, so we decided to run on the roads. We ran 5k and my time was 28.23, which is the quickest since the virtual London Marathon on 3rd October. Still a long way off my quickest earlier in the year.

Well done HS I managed a 28:58 at parkrun.
My PB at this Parkrun was set in 2011 and stands at 28:35 I was close. Did my best, not too shabby 10 years later.

That's terrific running LL obviously fitter if not quite faster, maybe next week 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

My time today was 24.23, 5 minutes faster than 2 weeks ago when I was being cautious. Very happy with my time and I could possibly knock another minute off of that time.

Well done LL, you obviously haven't lost much pace over 10 years, and your WAVA will be much higher, so in theory, age related, you are running quicker.

Well done FF, that's a big improvement in 2 weeks, and hopefully you will knock another minute off next time!

Good park runs there FF , hs and LL. I'm envious but put up with poor pace as a reality of permanent leg issue and age! Because I can't run with a proper push off on one leg it's pointless me measuring up with WAVA. Arghhh!

5k this morning, on trails, no wind and foot vaguely playing up.

Hi all I’m sorry I’ve been AWOL I can’t keep up with the threads these days.

I’ll have a proper read back later to catch up on all the goss.

The storms last weekend were awful weren’t they and those who lost the basics must be awful and I hope it’s all fixed now. We got away very lightly although our fence only survived as we were out at 1am with bits of wood propping it up & moving boulders against the points straining which thankfully worked.

I managed to get my booster last Sunday and it’s wiped me out Monday was a total write off, since it’s been a head cold. Feeling slightly better now but far from right. So mileages have slowed. I did scrape the 100 for November and hoping I can catch up for December when I feel better. I am trying to do RED December for the first time even 1m a day keeps me ticking over for now.

So sorry to hear about your struggles Steve45 but you’re still out there doing it that’s what matters.

Great running LL (I’ve no idea what my WAVA is or should be to be good I suspect it’s poor 😂 so won’t look)
