Hope you feel better soon distracted!

My marathon training plan called for 9 miles, so I ran 9 miles and then ran/walked the next 17 to finish in about 4hrs 31. Awful weather though.

Well, after a weekend of not running I'm keen to leave work and run home! (Actually I'm always keen to leave work and go home.) I don't even care that it's raining.

I spent most of the weekend having to tell myself that I did do a long run, it was just a day early. Made worse by driving past multiple runners on Saturday and Sunday mornings! (Let me out of the *car*, I want to join in ;-))

This weekend will be the same on Friday/Saturday, since I'll be being a helpful person moving furniture and stuff for my Father in Law. "Resting" from Thursday morning onward. But Sunday = race day :-)

Good to step out of routine MMM! Good luck for your marathon especially as it's post removal work.
I quite often choose to do my longer run on a Friday or even a Thursday--I tend to check the weather outlook and pick the better day!

Thanks both.

Steve, just to correct a misapprehension - Brass Monkey gorilla is "only" a half this weekend! I'm saving my marathon legs for a slightly warmer occasion.

After my informal involvement in the Marcothon in December my "streak" enters its 60th day tomorrow. Somewhat like Mrsb said in relation to the daily running malarkey (getting obsessed!) I think that's what I've done! But it's been ok and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been out there daily.
A half is long enough in my book MMM ! Glad that all's well again Dave.
