Hope you feel better soon distracted! My marathon training plan called for 9 miles, so I ran 9 miles and then ran/walked the next 17 to finish in about 4hrs 31. Awful weather though. mrsbridgewater.blogspot.co.uk |

Well, after a weekend of not running I'm keen to leave work and run home! (Actually I'm always keen to leave work and go home.) I don't even care that it's raining. I spent most of the weekend having to tell myself that I did do a long run, it was just a day early. Made worse by driving past multiple runners on Saturday and Sunday mornings! (Let me out of the *car*, I want to join in ;-)) This weekend will be the same on Friday/Saturday, since I'll be being a helpful person moving furniture and stuff for my Father in Law. "Resting" from Thursday morning onward. But Sunday = race day |

Good to step out of routine MMM! Good luck for your marathon especially as it's post removal work. I quite often choose to do my longer run on a Friday or even a Thursday--I tend to check the weather outlook and pick the better day! |

Thanks both. Steve, just to correct a misapprehension - Brass Monkey is "only" a half this weekend! I'm saving my marathon legs for a slightly warmer occasion. |

After my informal involvement in the Marcothon in December my "streak" enters its 60th day tomorrow. Somewhat like Mrsb said in relation to the daily running malarkey (getting obsessed!) I think that's what I've done! But it's been ok and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been out there daily. A half is long enough in my book MMM ! Glad that all's well again Dave. |
