1000 miles done today whilst at Newport parkrun. Had hoped to make it whilst on the PSUK 10 Miler in Sandringham but alas...
Anyway, all of that training was for one thing - the Cardiff Half Marathon - which I cannot do. So, I have an elite entry - (the first grouping of under 80 minutes) - going spare. I also have a 'white grouping' for the masses start - i.e. over 2hrs. The ELITE ENTRY is helpful if you're a decent runner that has been given a white colouring where all the fun runners go. This will allow you to push further up to where you feel comfortable which can TAKE MINUTES OFF YOUR TIME!! Willing to accept in the region of £20 for the Elite entry, £15 for the 'masses' or £30 for both.

Well doen Andyglos!
I did 11 miles today (was supposed to be 13, but poorly laced new shoes and lots of downhill resulted in my toe threatening to fall off!) Glad I didn't go any further as this puts me in position 69, which makes me giggle!

Ooh I say Mrs!
Ran the Dartford Bridge 10k yesterday. Equalled my PB of 42.57 that I set 3 years ago (during my last 10k) so pleased with that. Also ran the 2 miles there and 2 miles back home to make a total of 10 miles yesterday on my log plus another 9 this morning. Catching up gradually and will make it to 1,000 before Christmas at this rate!

Loch Ness Marathon yesterday, took just over three mins off the PB, despite not getting the training done that I really wanted. Looks like it will be a struggle to get to the 1000m from here, but will not give up yet.

Fab running everyone. Feels odd going into a few weeks of races knowing that there is not a chance of a PB, but there you go - I guess I'll live with it. Last month saw me log the most miles I think I've ever run in a month.

Great to see lots of people over, or planning to get over, the 1000 mile mark. Good stuff!

Just over 7 miles today, half in the rain, half on the treadmill. Notching away at those miles.....

I really should give this whole idea up. Every year I think that 1000 miles is perfectly possible and every year something goes wrong and there is a spanner in the works. This time it was falling off a bicycle and breaking a rib that put me so far behind target that it is a bit pointless even counting the miles. Next year it will be something else.
