woo hoo,
Managed to get out today, first time in a month, cold and rib injury both ok. Only 2.6 miles but really good to get out.
Marathon training starting this week with a bit of orienteering on Tuesday, nice and steady me thinks.

Hi everyone. Just signed up for charity place in London marathon so this thread suddenly becomes a bit more likely! Managed nearly 600 last year so this is a big step up for me!

PLK, it's good to see you again. I've quite missed you (and 1 or 2 others) since leaving the 750's last month.
Hickerton, welcome to our family. You've taken on a great step-up, but I'm sure you can do it.
Louismaxi, when I was working in Bristol some years ago, I used to enjoy running along the Portway. I ran from my office near College Green, out through Hotwells and along the Portway to Seamills or beyond. It was fairly quiet and pedestrian-free, with pleasant scenery. Sometimes instead I would go off to Bedminster and around Victoria Park.
I shall be out of contact for a week; we are going to Reading-ish for a few days for my mum's 91st, and then a few days at Whitstable meeting our eldest son's future in-laws in advance of his April wedding. I'll speak to you all next Monday or Tuesday. Happy running!
