Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I'm a bit lazy and find motivation difficult so I'm making this attempt a public thing to try and inspire me!

I need to do regular physio-style exercises to keep my knee happy so I'm aiming at 2 sessions a week which will be approx 100 sessions this year. The whole routine takes 30-40 mins (there are quite a lot of exercises) so I know I won't do this any more frequently.

I have started as I mean to go on and did my first session today. 1 down, 99 to go :-)

Anyone else want to commit to something similar? Doesn't have to be 100 times or physio stuff, just add what your target is.

I’ve had a calf twinge this week so need to do the exercises the physio suggested 18 months ago - mostly squats and stretches. I was planning on starting on Wednesday so this is a very timely thread. Thanks Nemo :)

This would be helpful for me. I don't have specific physio exercises to do but have regular injury prevention exercises that I need to get back into.

I went for a short run and the old calf niggle started after a mile, which reminded me to stretch and squat when I got home, so I’ve logged my first session!

Welcome GM and becca7 :-)

I'm aiming to do my 2nd session of the year on Thursday. It will be a good test to see if I can motivate myself to get out of bed early and go to the gym before work.

I’m doing a glute activation programme after suffering with piriformis trouble since November and started this yesterday and did it again today.

Well done becca7! I have lazy glutes too, never been sure if I've been able to properly activate them.

Hope you got your session done Nemo.

I did a bit of hip strengthening and flexibility stuff this evening plus foam rollering.

I’ve completed Day 3 of squats and stretching. I think it’s helping.

I did get my 2nd session done, but only this morning! Missed swimming on Weds due to work so swam on Thursday instead. I did about 40 mins of various stuff in the gym before work so feeling quite virtuous now :-)

Well done to both of you for your sessions!

2 down, 98 to go...
