Foxy's Bleep Test Marathon? That would be a special kind of hell. Well done Toks on finally making over the line. Since reaching 101 back in June I haven't managed another due to injury and getting Covid. I have signed up for a couple of LDWA events next year as I know they are really set up for walkers with runners tolerated Hopefully I will get my arse in gear by then (it's a glute injury btw) |

Why 15 when 10 metres should be plenty but I know folks who would still want 2 or 3 aid stations per lap ๐ Everyoneโs different some like the social side of smaller events, some like the World Majors (my personal preference). I like that the quest for 100 has become less about finances. I hit 100 in 2010 which meant lots of travel & less opportunities & thus a slower route to 100 which I guess with more rest made it easier ? |

Marathons 94 and 95 over the New Year weekend, on the same course, at events put on by Running Events Devon. Friday's was comparatively quite poor for me - not just the finish time but how I felt, which was awful. I did parkrun Saturday and took it easy yesterday and today's was much better, so I was happier with that.

96 and 97 over the weekend, at Plym Trail Marathons put on by firstandlastrunning. Absolutely dreadful weather on the Saturday, with the main issue being the cold. I don't usually overly suffer from cold, but that was a miserable day, especially as the temp dropped more in the second half. Sunday was better weather and I got it done on the same course, so I was pleased overall as the objective of the weekend was to get them done, and I managed that. I have my 99th and 100th booked, just need to find the next one some time between now and April, and I have a couple of plans of that, but nothing firmed up yet.

Well done. Good to see you yesterday - I was grateful for the better weather! Winding Paths have one on the canal not far from you mid- March and he runs a similar low key event to yesterday - a few more, but not many.

Oscar, yeah, I've done a couple of his, I think. The Running Events Devon RDs were there on Saturday and they were talking about putting another one on in February near Exmouth, if they can get permissions. 26th Feb (26.2), but not confirmed yet.
