The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.

Started running in May 2007, at the age of 50 - wish I had started many years ago (decades?) as I love it and can't get enough of it. December 2007 update - now have threee races under my belt, all of which have left me wanting more. April 2008 - major Iliopsoas Tendon injury put me out of running for three months. Had a few false starts, but now seem to be OK, so will be back here again. Big Event: Marathon des Sables in the Moroccan Sahara in March/April 2009.
