Lenham Cross Winter Marathon

This race is a BEAST. Hilly as feck and add the wind and ridiculous mud and it is beyond a beast. But I did what I was told and I really did have fun even when the rain kicked in and the mud was either deep and claggy or making it nigh on impossible to stay upright. And so many steps!

Really pleased with myself, TBH. I was 8th lady at the turnaround point (17.5 miles). Caught up with 7th lady with 6 miles to go and 6th lady with 2 miles to go and I am so proud of the way I ran strong past them and didn't look back and just dug deep and kept going.

Nutrition:

Pre race - porridge pot and banana
During the race - 2l electrolyte, 5 gels, 3 fig rolls, coke

And I just demolished a pizza :-)
