Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Konaboy A minute off my PB - I'm well chuffed. I think the combo of cool weather, PB bets being placed on me & using the virtual trainer on the Garmin helped me with the PB plus being a vet in 10days time spurred me on to beat the 45min mark. Great course (flat), well marshalled & good quality field (lots of club runners) made for an enjoyable race experience. Well done the Woodley Scouts.

blue (pete) Garmin time, Gun time was 49.45. Beat my pb for 10K by a long way so either I'm fitter (hope so) or this was an easier course (no way). Very pleased, great organisation and lovely cup of tea at the end.

Sid For the first ever, I had to stop during a race for a wee!! Hopefully, I was far enough in the bushes that no-one saw me! At the start of the race I thought it would be a good idea to try and keep up with this chap and his dog Zola Budd (it's true that's her name) as I knew they could run a 10k in less than 50 minutes. However as soon as Zola heard the horn, she was off like a bullet and I never saw them again. Nice race, very well organised and the weather was perfect! One day soon I'll break the 50 minute mark but in order to do so I'll need to run more between races or get a dog called Zola Budd to run with!

RuthB2 not been able to get out much at all lately, so may just treat as bit of fun...

update: glad I turned up. weather perfect, nice atmosphere. some narrow pavements and traffic on course, but good fun. Happy with time, given lack of training, so now can concentrate on next 10k and actually prepare!

smiley broadling Was wondering whether to give this a miss as I felt a bit under the weather - either hayfever or a cold, not sure which - but went for it and really enjoyed it. Felt surprisingly strong all the way round. A nice course, well marshalled and a good atmosphere. I would definitely do it again.
