maria_musttryharder! First race in proper rain but it was cooling on an otherwise humid and stuffy evening. The course was interesting with a few twists and turns around the old buildings in Winchester which made for a good run. Really pleased with my time, it's been ages since I did a 5k and it just goes to show how much I have improved. Definitely deserve that wine tonight!!!

RFJ Winchester 5K for me.... Stupid, stupid, stupid.... Forgot drink Stupid 1.... Went for racing flats... stupid 2 (rained and flats and cobble and tight alleyways with bollards and tight turns dont match racing flats Forgot spare underwear ......Stupid 3 The race, had a ding dong battle royal with a lass from WADAC, just beat her in the end over the 3 tight laps. Came 44th (7th V40m) 4th equal best time, and Im really peep off as know could have run much faster, but the rain tight turns and serious lack of grip, running on ice in the summer put paid to that... oh well, so that said 18:14 is not too bad, just could have been better.

Running Fish quite chuffed, after a recent string of 4 bad races, wasnt expecting to finally break the 17min barrier, but the weather was perfect, and managed to hang on to the coat tails of the quick guys for the first lap, then just ground out to the end.
