Steve72 Great run. Dodgy weather settled down with it being just a bit breezy in the end. A couple of laps of the park but it feels like more because there's a few tightish turns to navigate. I started fairly fast and at the half-way point I was on course for a good time. From then on I was determined to try and maintain it but it was a struggle. I was breathing heavily and struggling but somehow managed to maintain a good pace. At 8km I noticed I was 14secs ahead of my 5mile pb so dug deep to keep a good speed for last 2km. Nobody overtook me throughout the race until right at the death. The last few hundred yards is on the playing field and I never manage a sprint finish here, somebody went past me and I didn't have anything left in my legs to respond. But I knew a pb was in the bag so I didn't worry. Enjoyable race with good encouragement from the marshalls.
