Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Heavyweight This was always going to be a bit of a struggle after yesterdays 20 miler. Plodded round at the back & tried to finish strongly once all the hills had finished. Course was quite benign today and had dried out a lot since Rough'n'tumble. Nice to meet James & Konaboy at the start.

Jonny I found this hard work, my legs felt dead from the start after 2 interval sessions. The course was fantastic, fairly flat for the first 5 miles and then a long steady climb that really burned my calves. A vertical hill soon followed and then a couple more before the end. I was extremely pleased to see the finish line as my thighs were starting to cramp up with half a mile to go. All in all, it acted well as a long training run on tired non receptive legs. Would love to do it next year on fresh legs and without big blisters on my toes.

Konaboy Much drier than last year made for faster times although the hills don't get any less steep!!! 1st half undulating including stream crossing, K&A towpath & wooded bridleway followed by the 2nd including 4 climbs up (& down) the Pewsey Vale escarpement & a river crossing. Hot showers, a massive cake selection & refreshments at the end topped a great morning out. Will try the Rough & Tumble next year for comparison.

LukeStur Very nice race - I think we got off quite lightly with the lack of mud, but the hills are still the same height!
Ran well at a good pace which felt comfortable. Ran with C davey most of the way, but felt good going up the final climb so pushed on.
Finished 5th TeamBath and 16th overall, helping to secure the team prize for Bath - £50 each prize is a nice little earner and made the day all the more worthwhile :-)
