RichyC Course best but faded from 4th to 9th with the heat, hills and sciatic issue taking their toll a bit. Still, pretty decent effort and always an enjoyable event.

Roadrunner Bark I ran this Race straight after doing the 4 mile run! Which I Won in 22:20 The plan was to keep things nice and steady at the start and see how I felt as the race progressed. I felt good at 5 miles and pushed on a little then felt a little tired at 8m and started to wonder if two races one after the other was too much... tho I kept it steady to 10m then the last 3 miles flew in, with the last mile clocked my fastest in 5:59. Took 11th place overall and I was the '1ST Local Male'. Got a nice medal for Winning the 4 mile race and a lovely Trophy for 1st Local. Pleased with My efforts today and shows me that there's plenty to come in a half marathon as I felt v.strong , and esp after running hard in a race beforehand. Well-Done to Kerry (SBA) for another fine victory and his 3rd in a trot at Stranraer. Was also nice to have a good crack with the DRC Guys, Kev, Allan, Sandy & CO. And speak to Richy C , Good run fella, and catch up with all the Larne Boys again.. Justin ( 2nd Today!! ) , and Paul the Builder. Nice racing conditions today with it not being too warm!
