Vicksta Although my 10 mile PB is a weak one I don't have a hope of beating it as havent raced or run much faster tham 9 min/mile since May. Also I don't 'do' hills. UPDATE: Apologies for putting people off betting on me, cos I PB'd!!! And i only had 10 points on myself. The course was very undulating, but I liked the country lanes rather than the usual Stortford suburbs. The wind going uphill on that farm track was really tough, as was that last uphill mile. I am well pleased though, so much fitter than I thought I was, and my dodgy calf coped very well. Hooray!!! 20th woman out of 112. 9th in senior category.

crispy First time for this race and they have aparently changed the route. Was quite windy. The start was a right mess, I felt for the people travelling who didn't know the town, they must have had a nightmare parking. Time was a bit down, in fact with the bottleneck at the start I was about 15sec quicker by my watch. Nice route though, I struggled a bit with doing Stebbing 10 the week before.

Lucy80 Would do this race again because of the trek from HQ to the race start, other than taht I ran well, considering how windy t was, particularly when the wind was against you going up hill!! The ground surface was also very uneven, which made it more difficult under foot.

PeePee 1st ever 10miler so its a guaranteed PB. This is part of my training for the bedford half (couldn't find any 10Ks that I fancied/were free for).

Vindicator A big confidence builder having got the PB on a very undulating course. The farm track sections were not too bad. There was a killer uphill section in to the wind at mile 6 and the closing mile was also uphill. Reeled in a club mate for the closing sprint, but did not have enough left in me to beat him or get inside 1:13.

DrBob lets hope for another PB very up and down (topographically) race with a very interesting hill up a rough farm track for the last mile which cost a fair bit of time. ran smooth and felt good alll the way. Pleased

ml2run Really pleased with time as only 2nd time running this distance after Stebbing 10 last week. Tricky course with the hills and the mixed surface and freezing cold, but enjoyable.

jonoshea Sub 90 mins just. Yes ! Last mile was horrible but nice race overall. Official time given as 15 secs slower !! What !! How long does it take to write down a time, the clock clearly said 1

Ally2 Entered. Course mix of road and track and looking forward to it. Good race came 5th. scorched first downhill mile in 5:41 and first 5 in 29:44 second 5 in 30:05 which was mainly uphill miles 6-7 were tough along farm track and got stitch at 8 but shrugged it off at 9 to finish strongly nearly catching 4th place man. Windy in places and farm tracks in places so pleased with time and under 60 Yes!!!
