Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

MattTheRat First 5k I've run since 1979. Really hard. It was very warm today and I went off a tiny bit fast and hung on as best I could. HR climbed each km, reaching 189 at the finish! Ave HR 174 (92% of max). Quite pleased with the time, but I should have gone under 19 minutes.

SteveX Managed to get down from 21.17 to 21.11 can I go faster? Predictions table says I should be able to do sub 21 but it been tough going. UPDATE But legs are tired after to much racing this week could be a struggle. UPDATE 21.03 who would have thought it.

Mazza aka Fitso Very warm and humid/ Tried to go off a bit slower - did the first km in 4.12 - which if anything is quicker than ususal, so that didn't really work, did it? Just about managed to hang on to an even pace until anout 4.5 km but it's that final 500m that always does for me.

Lefromage I feel this will be my last 5K as i am not really enjoying the short distance anymore. I did manage a PB and think that from now 10K will have to be the shortest runs i do.

Sharkie Another semi disaster. Now 2 minutes slower. First k too fast again (5:09) By 2k right peroneal was playing up again - had to walk parts of middle two ks, so shouldn't be too surprised at crap time.
