AlanO Splits - 16.10, 16.50, 17.13. Very disappointed. Felt good before hand. Felt okay in the 1st lap, had a terrible 2nd lap, thought I rallied in the 3rd lap only to find out I was slower again. Overtaken by 20-30 runners over laps 2-3. Things can only get better.

Baza Thank goodness i never predicted a time for this, had hoped for a quicker time than last year but alas 62 seconds slower. Not sure what happened, felt sluggish about 6 mile, legs just seemed to tighten up, woke up towards the finish but a bit too late. Shame as i like this course and apparantly this was the last year of it being held their due to sponsorship.

bedlam_g Had what felt like a really good race 6.03 mile avg 104th place compared to 6.06 avg place last year, got the 6th counter place for Bella and seemed to be well up the field in faster conditions. Time was surprisingly about a minute down then discovered the course had been extended by a quarter of a mile, can’t think where though.

Hamsterwheel A good 2mims slower than last year but I am sure it was not as muddy lasts year well that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.Never mind you can't have a good race every time you put on a number.Oh plus the garmin said it was .37 miles longer than last year but can't think where.

hannkies Not my greatest race to be frank. Effort was there, but knew from about a lap in it wasn't to be. Feeling really fit just now though so I'll put it down to the legs being a tad tired due to the Marathon training kicking in, and hopefully come back stronger soon. Excellent runs by a number of folk, and a cracking course so all in all the day wasn't too bad. Finished 117th.

RichyC Fairly happy with run today. Slowed a bit throughout as usual in xc but overall pretty decent. Was bang on a minute down on last year but looking back at time/distance shows a weird comparison. Last yr: 7.17m in 46.27 average pace 6.29 (6.08 6.18 6.17 6.45 6.45 6.37 6.46 0.51) This yr 7.52m in 47.27 average pace 6.19 (6.06 6.14 6.11 6.21 6.27 6.34 6.35 2.58) Course didn't seem any different so maybe I just ran smarter last yr!

Sunbed Athlete Was hoping for better but cant have it that way all the time.Never have I been in the top 40 & again missed that target.Took 43rd.Although I struggled all week with a headcold & felt better near the day but felt it on top of the 1st hill.Knew from there on in it was just a matter of holding on.Made the team as 5th counter but again for the 2nd year in a row we were 4th team.
Course is good.Tough sections which make you dig in for the reserves but nothing there for me today.Wrong size of spikes in for some parts of the course but right size for other areas.
