mxhornet I was surprised to find I’d worked my way through to as high as 17th place by the finish and I was even more surprised to find I was 4th MV40. Not a bad days work considering I still had sore and tight quads from Friday night’s race. Which I felt ever so much on the steep downhills and over some of the stiles.

Martian Dashes Fantastic event. - I was hoping to beat 2:45. Cramp threatened from about 10k, kept going trying not to provoke it, worked 'til the last 5 or 6k. Walk/jog/stretched to the line. - Happy with the time. Very happy during and after just being there. - If there needed to be a reason to run, this race could be it.

Binks Stunning race in fantastic scenery. Though the warm muggy conditions didn't help as my eyes were stinging from the sweat. Some though hills and uneven downhills. Plenty of shaded sections in the trees and exposed places across meadows. Really well organised too, marshalls everywhere lots of water and sweets and free cakes at the end. Possibly the most beautiful race I've ever done.
