Screeners As this is my first half-marathon, if I do it in anything under 2 1/2 hours I will be happy. AFTER RACE : am pleased with this time. I wasn't 100% fit due to this awful cold and cough I've had for the last two weeks and the weather conditions were pretty bad today - heavy, almost torrential rain for most of the run coupled with a biting wind. The thing I was most worried about was the hills and actually they were okay - hard but fairly manageable. If it hadn't been for the awful weather and if I hadn't had this cold, I think I could have done it slightly faster but for my first half-marathon, and such a tough one, I'm pleased with this.
