Garfield First race for this year. It's always so crowded and I usually completely bugger up my food intake in the evening...eat too early then run out of steam. Gotta start working on that as I have a late race the following week too. Got the eating all right, energy drink provided gave me heartburn...so rather uncomfortable at the start of the race!!!

godders83 really enjoyed this as was my first race! could have probably gone out a bit faster but was difficult due to crowds and it was also quite hot!

Jimbo Got a bit closer to the start line than in previous years so it only took me 32 seconds to reach the clock. Had an excellent run considering I have only been back training for 4 weeks after a 4 month lay off. Once again the social events after the race were superb. Free food and beer, and a really good coolmax running top too. What more could you ask for!

lozza was injured last year, so hoping for a much better time..... and achieved it! 27:34 - a huge PB (ok so I didn't hit the target of 27 minutes - what can I say? It was a hot day). Seriously, very happy with the time as the crowds make this a tough one.
