Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

hannkies Great running conditions, ran well. Course pb for me which is my marker, and deffo feel a lot fitter and injury free now so hopefully more to come. Started steadily and didn't get passed from 1K onwards, passing around 6 runners to finish 11th just outside my pb. Top top marks to Kerry ( told you bud ), and well done to the pb-ers including Connell, Brian and Ian, as well as Chris who will hopefully be under 35 again very very soon. Superbly organised by Irvine AC.

ChrisU A driech night in Irvine. Dark, grey and rainy. But OK for running. Well done to hannkies and sunbed athlete, especially sunbed who got a massive PB and finished 2nd in 31:03. I ran my fastest 10k of the season to clock 35:10. I got stronger in the final 2km, passing 2 runners after slumping a bit in the middle of the race.

Sunbed Athlete MASSIVE MASSIVE PB for me.Took 75 secs off.2nd place.WELL CHUFFED!!!!!!!!!!
1st time ive ran under 32 mins & had the previous PB for over 2 years.Conditions were good albeit a slight headwind on way back but the drizzly rain kept us cool. Was sitting 4th from the word go & squeezed into 3rd @ 8k then into 2nd @ 9k & held it to the finish although getting chased down by laddie in 3rd.
£30 into the bargain.Well done to clairevmc for winning for the 2nd year in a row & thanks to the Killie guys & WAGS for the kind words before & after the race.

clairevmc Absolutely delighted with a pb and 1st female. Brilliantly organised race and in horrendous rain. Led from the gun and was aiming for 3.45s. Was slightly off pace by half way but got it back at the end with a push from 8K and 3.35 for the final K. Negative split - 18.56 / 18.35. And thanks to bigmoose for racing/pulling me along for the last few k!

briandarroch Another runner who set a PB, I improved my time by 63 secs. By the number of PBs that were set I guess the conditions helped the times. I did find myself at 3.5k with a couple of Tortoises (Ian McNee and M60 winner George McGregor) and stayed with them until the finish.

ian9657 It would have been a massive PB for me in my 49th race of 2009 and my first race in Irvine if it hadn't been 200 metres short. Great runs by many others including sunbed, clairemv, connell and brian darroch.
