Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Greenman Put 50M in the week leading up to this and it paid off. Really pleased with my time, after a terrible May running-wise due to illness, finally back to something approaching normal. Cool conditions helped, didn't need to take on any water until the finish. Well organised as usual.

mikep I've been taking part in events for four years and this result has given me the best buzz yet. I really thought that the point I had reached in the marathon training plan would leave me short of stamina. I set myself a goal of 75 minutes for 10 miles and then to trot back in 8 minute miles; giving me a PB - just. Despite taking 10 minutes to run mile 9 (oh, that hill) I hit the target. Miles 11 and 12 were fine and then, with great encouragement from the crowd on the bridge I ran mile 13 in 6:42. To finish in 1:37:39, around 6 minutes inside my previous best, feels so good! My only worry is a pain in my left foot which feels like in might be another break.
