Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

ceri Compared to others I seem to be at the abck of the pack! Hope I can do it in less than 1:10:00 - fingers crossed.

Wating for official time but think 1:02 is pretty acurate. Really enjoyed myself - spectacular countryside vistas and a nice atmosphere. Hubby and duaghter really enjoyed it too. Thanks for the cheering, Agent Orange! - Nice to see the FE vest in action. Might get myself one.

Agent Orange 47.40 official time. 47.29 on my watch - and my best ever! A really lovely race, with the good folk of Goring turning out en masse. Also Met Konaboy and saw Ceri. As for the race itself, I thought I was just going out for a nice run. But I ran the uphill bits better than expected and got to half way in what I thought was 24.17, then pushed on a bit and managed 47.29 overall. This suggests a second half of 23.12. But looking at my km splits I think the 5km marker was 100m or so late. But how chuffed am I?! Oh, and great medal.

Konaboy Very cold as per normal for Goring. Well attended & very congested at the start meant for a slow first 2km. Once at the top of the first rise though the crowd thinned a little. Spotted FE top in the distance and so upped the pace to catch him (Agent Orange I think) at just after 4km. Once at South Stoke it was good going up to 9Kms where a loop outside & a loop inside the rec meant you could see runners finishing - slightly demoralising to say the least. Pleased with time considering recent injury and that I beat 'Humphrey' the camel (poss. the same one at last year's Maidenhead 10)!!!
