About this parkrun
Trail shoes for sure- off road, grassy. Easy parking, nice NT cafe. Lovely location.twinny 17th Mar 2019
Main route Easter - ~November - lap and three quarters, mostly on grass. Couple of bumps but not 'hills' in Cumbria.
Winter - harder four laps on hard packed trail. Narrow hence no dogs.
National trust venue - plenty of parking. Good cafe.

Winter route mainly undulating grit path. Trail shoes better unless dry. First timers note plenty extra parking beyond the first cp. Fabulous views up Windermere, but north wind can be brutal. Friendly/encouraging: 'Get those legs moving young man'!

Lovely off road course. Summer course is nearly 2 laps. Muddy in places. Loads of parking. Very friendly (CumbriAndy is RD). Excellent NT cafe.

As the RD said when I did this. It is Cumbrian flat. You need trail shoes. It’s very beautiful.

Lovely route partly along edge of Windermere, very friendly and lots of volunteers. Partly on grass for summer route, slightly hilly but not too much.

The most stunning parkrun I've done! Terrific views of Windermere, including while approaching the finish line. Great to cool off with a dip in the lake afterwards plus National trust cake 🍰

Stunning location. Winter route tough because multiple laps with out and backs, but not big hills

Nice undulating lapped course alongside the lake. Trail shoes required.
