soreeneater Should beat the record I set at the Spen 20 - worried about food, drink intake to get me through the 17 -20 barrier Managed to get the V55 2nd place and £20 for my trouble. 1hr 31 ish for half mara. Well pleased with that. Knew I'd go downhill after 15 but very pleased overall. The gel at 12 miles helped. Bit windy in places otherwise I might have ben around 2:21. Glad to see all the people who bet on me will make a profit.

Lucky Jim Very windy in places but dry and sunny. An excellent race, got into a good pace quite quickly and managed to maintain it for most of the race. Managed to shave 6:31 off my PB which was in this race two years ago so was well pleased with that.

mikep a bit too fast for my last LSR training run but happy with the control throughout. first 10 miles in dead on 1:20, then a strong head wind had a big impact on my running partner. picked up again around 12 and apart for a pee break and another head wind attack a solid second half. just about a neagtive split. second 20 mile race where I have been able to hold 8 min pace and felt OK at the end. just got to do it for another 6 miles on april 11th.
