fetcheveryone Three thousand people blitzed round the city on the hottest September day in Cardiff since records began. It was quite shocking running with other people, and I can recommend this as the best sport for bottom watching, whatever your sex or preference!! One poor girl passed out after about 8k, but most people just about managed. Bottoms included, the best bit of the race had to be the moment where I came into the stadium. Imagine standing on a floor that someone's just wired up to the mains. People were peering over the edge of the stand down into the tunnel, and cheering you on. I was legging it by this point - I think I netted about a hundred overtakes in the last couple of kilometres. As with all first time racers, I also had the benefit of a guaranteed personal best, and 59.06 will stick in my mind for quite some time, even after I beat it. It's my line in the sand and my proof of where I am.
