About this parkrun

parkrun of two halves. 2 1/2 laps - field/lake/field/lake/field. Lake is gorgeous. Field is an energy-sapping trudge round some pitches. Muddy in parts. Core team very friendly. Nice coffee van by the car park, which is half a mile from the start.

A mixed run on grass round rugby pitches, some woodland trail and gently undulating tarmac path round a lake. Grass was slippy when wet, lake was very pretty. Generally flat. Good parking, loos by the start, but limited cafe - a coffee van on site.

3 laps on tarmac paths around the lake with the start/finish on grass. Also some undulating trail. Start is wide but quickly narrows to path on the right. Loos by the start, car parking 1km from start. Nice coffee van for refreshments afterwards

There's clearly some seasonal variations of the course looking at the reviews to date. In August it was 2 laps of a rugby pitch then 2 laps of a trail consisting of a lake and a bit on grass around a play park. Loads of parking.

2 laps of the rugby pitches then two laps of the play park and lake. Start is a bit mad with an immediate right turn. Steep camber on one side of the rugby pitches which could be challenging when wet. Free parking at the rugby club.

Very beautiful parkrun in the sun. Route change recently means: 2x laps of a rugby field (grass) to get start with followed by 2 x laps of the lake. Enjoyed it - reminded me of Canada. Good parking, toilets, etc. Flat and would recommend.

Not seasonal, but on its 3rd route since Sep '21. 2 laps rugby pitch, 2 laps lake/park is correct as of Aug '23.

Parts can get EXTREMELY muddy after a wet spell. Dogs allowed as of October 2023.

Congested start but just chill out. A flat, two grassy laps followed by another two laps on tarmac and trail. A pleasant enough jog in the park.

Jolly event, laps around the lake with a few soggy patches. Beware goose shit.

Nice coffee from the van in the car park.
